Experience Day: Beginner Mountain Biking

 

Course Description: This activity involves following local mountain bike trails around the beautiful Peak District. You will make stops along the way to work on basic technical skills that will help you along your journey.

 

What you can expect:

  • To learn the ready position in preparation for uneven terrain

  • To practise the track stand for low speed manoeuvring

  • To learn how to effectively break

  • To learn a front wheel lift

 

Who is it for / Pre-requisites: 

This course is aimed at beginner mountain riders with little or no experience riding on uneven terrain. We would expect clients to have a moderate level of fitness or possibly look at taking our e-bike option. This experience is only offered as a private group booking, due to the varying abilities and fitness levels that may come together on an open booking.

Suitable for families and children 8+ (Guidance only), who must all be able to ride a bike.

Location and Travel Arrangements: 

This course does not have a set venue, so travel arrangements will be discussed whilst you make your booking.

Local facilities: At the beginning of the day you will have access to toilet facilities and refreshments. When you are out on the trails there will be no access to any facilities.
