1st Aid at Work - 3 day course

 

Course Description: This course is designed for those who are named first aiders within an organisation. As the designated person they will likely administer first aid more regularly and will have an increased depth of knowledge surrounding possible first aid scenarios. This course covers more than emergency situations where life preservation is the focus, and looks at injuries where support, and recovery aid can be provided. Some organisations choose to have all employees qualified to this level, in the event of an emergency.

What you can expect:

  • A predominantly practical course.

  • Scenario based assessments

  • A short written assessment

  • To cover the following tops; dealing with emergency and non-emergency 1st Aid situations in a work environment including; primary and secondary assessments, wounds and bleeding, hypovolaemic shock, head and spinal injuries, anaphylaxis, poisoning, resuscitation, disorders of respiration and circulation, incident management, chest and abdominal injuries, extreme heat and cold, eye injuries, bones, joints and muscle injuries, major illnesses, burns, bites and stings

Who is it for / Pre-requisites: Designated first aiders within an organisation, or anyone wanting a more in depth knowledge surrounding first aid. There are no pre-requisites for this course.

  • AED Training Machines

  • Demonstration resources

  • Course booklets

  • Stationary

  • Scenario role play dress-up

  • Tea, coffee and water

Location: The location of the course will depend upon if it is an open course (venue provided by Venture Elements) or a private course (venue can be provided by the customer). Details will provided upon booking.
